Recycling in Africa is not a new phenomenon. Africa recycles out of necessity and with that comes ingenuity and innovation. Bundubags are made using upcycled, polyester cargo strapping, that would otherwise have ended up poisoning a landfill. We collect the strapping, clean it and weave it into our collection bags. We also work alongside the largest Shwe Shwe fabric manufacturer in Africa, and use as many of the offcuts of this beautiful, traditionally printed fabric as possible. From our beach bag rope handles, to our leather flaps closures to the tube handles on our totes, we upcycle as much as possible.  Right down to our recycled card swingtags – our mandate is to be as conscious as we can.
